वर्ष 2016, 2017 और 2018 में केरल के विश्वविद्यालयों से डॉक्टरेट की उपाधि से सम्मानित सर्वश्रेष्ठ पीएचडी शोध प्रबंध को 'डॉ. एन. चन्द्रशेखरन नायर हिन्दी शोध पुरस्कार’ प्रदान किया जाएगा। पच्चास हज़ार रुपये की नकद एवं स्मृति चिह्न सहित पुरस्कार 2019 दिसंबर 18 के हिन्दी साहित्य अकादमी के 39 वें वर्षगांठ में प्रदान किया जाएगा। नवंबर 25 तक आवेदन सहित शोध प्रबंध के एक प्रति केरल हिन्दी साहित्य अकादमी, लक्ष्मी नगर, पट्टम. पि. ओ, तिवेन्द्रम में भेजा जा सकता है। स्वतंत्र विशेषज्ञ समिति द्वारा सर्वश्रेष्ठ शोध प्रबंध चुना जाएगा। यह केरल में हिन्दी शोध प्रबंध के लिए सबसे बड़ा पुरस्कार है। यह पुरस्कार प्रतिवर्ष दिया जा रहा है। यह दूसरा वर्ष है।
